Meet Me

Katie is a speech-language pathologist (SLP), board-certified and licensed in the state of Michigan. She has her master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from Calvin University.

As the founder of Play, Grow, & Bloom, Katie enjoys meeting children in their most natural and comfortable setting to play and work on goals. She practices with the pediatric population, with experience in treatment from one to twenty-plus years of age, and specializes in the one to fourteen age range. Katie practices in pediatrics, treating needs and abilities including but not limited to:

• Motor Speech & Feeding Challenges (e.g., "picky eaters")
• Phonological Challenges
• Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
• Oral Myofunctional Concerns (e.g., open mouth breathing)
• Receptive Language Delay
• Expressive Language Delay
• Suspected or Recent Diagnosis of Autism
• Social Language Challenges

Personal

Katie is married to her sweet husband and revels in the licks from her puppy. She savors the growth of her "planty plants" both inside and outside. During the summer, she can be found outside digging in the dirt or canning food. In the winter, she'll be overly excited about the snow. She and her husband have taken joy in renovating their house to make it home.
